With over 2,500 fonts online and viewable, the Adobe Type site is a treasure to view,
compare, match type, and purchase fonts online. Whenever I'm called upon to identify type,
Adobe is one of the first places I go, their on-screen examples in various sizes make
it easier to find.

Agfa Type
With more than 7,000 fonts now in their collection, and over 1,000 in the Creative Alliance
collection with Monotype. Agfa is a high quality distributor of some of the best fonts around.
Since their 1998 acquisition of Monotype, Agfa has further expanded its already
respectable collection of typefaces.

Alphabets
One of the first digital type foundries. Alphabets has been making quality type designs
since 1987. With over 250 original fonts to their credit, Alphabets fonts are available in
Postscript and TrueType formats. The site is Shockwave enabled and type specimens and
information are available in Adobe Acrobat PDF format.

Alpine Fonts
Alpine Electronics has created a collection of chess fonts and other game diagram
fonts. Games such as Chess, Checkers, Othello, Dice, and Mah Jong and many more
are featured. Over 70 fonts in both TrueType and PostScript formats are available.

The Apollo Program
Elliott Peter Earls java enabled site is bizarre, interesting, and inspiring to say
the least. In addition to his fonts which are available through Emigre check
out his other interests as well.

Apply Design Group
This german design company has some interesting postscript fonts, as well as other
tools for design. The site is in both English and German and is frame based.

Astigmatic One Eye
Started in 1996, graphic designer Brian Bonislawsky made a few typographic creations
and put them on the web for the world to see. I was one of those people, I saw his font Manson
and just had to have it. His site and his work have expanded to more and more fonts and
more services. A truly great site, with really good creative, and totally original fonts.
Astigmatic One Eye offers many great freeware and shareware fonts as well.

Altemus Collection
Providing a collection of unique characters, which are intended to give designers a wealth
of graphic devices at their creative disposal. With about 40 fonts and just over 6,000 designs
contained within, Altemus has been creating high quality image character and border fonts
for over 7 years. Their offerings are available in both TrueType and Postscript formats.
